Free alarm for iPhone
The alarm that won't stop until you show up.
Rise & Show rings like a normal alarm, even on Silent. To turn it off, you get up and finish 3 steps: show an everyday object in your home, like the bathroom sink, the fridge or the front door, to your iPhone's camera, then beat 2 quick challenges. Which object? That's a surprise, picked at random each morning.
Free, no ads, no account. For iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
How it works
Setup takes about a minute and you only do it once. After that, every morning is a small surprise.
-
Set your alarm
Pick a time, then allow alarms and the camera (asked once). Rise & Show is built on Apple's AlarmKit, so it rings even when your iPhone is on Silent or in a Focus.
-
Tell it what's in your home
Select at least 3 everyday things, like your bathroom sink, fridge or front door, as far away from your bed as possible. They need no photos at all.
-
Get a surprise each morning
Your alarm asks for a random object from your list, so you can't plan around it the night before. Prefer the same object every day? You can choose one per alarm.
-
Finish 3 steps to stop it
Show today's object to the camera, then beat 2 quick challenges. Pressing Stop on the Lock Screen doesn't count: backup alarms keep ringing for up to an hour. Closing the app doesn't count either: the alarm comes back automatically.
3 steps to turn it off
Every alarm, every morning. The object always comes first, because that's what gets you out of bed.
Show today's object
Walk to the object the alarm names and point your camera at it. It's recognized right on your iPhone. A photo on another screen doesn't count.
Easy math
3 quick sums, like 15 + 13.
Type a sentence
A short line like "My feet are on the floor". Case and punctuation don't matter.
Sliding puzzle
Slide the tiles of a 3ร3 puzzle back into order, 1 to 8.
Steps 2 and 3 are two of these three challenges, picked at random each time.
Can't find it?
After 3 minutes, swap step 1 for 5 math questions. Steps 2 and 3 still follow.
Dark rooms
Too dark? The torch turns on by itself, and a torch button is always on the mission screen.
Streaks
See your morning streak and share a card of your wake-up. It never includes photos.
Stay-awake check
A gentle alarm 3 minutes after you finish, so you don't slide back under the covers. On by default.
Everyday things you already have
Apple's on-device recognition already knows the first seven, so setup is instant with no photos. Pick at least 3.

- Something else6 photos
A coffee machine or anything else of your own is learned from 6 quick photos, which you can add later in Settings โบ My objects. The photos themselves aren't saved, only numeric fingerprints. You always keep at least 3 objects, so the morning pick stays a surprise. Pick things as far away from your bed as possible, and avoid anything on or past stairs.
Your bedroom stays yours.
An alarm that uses the camera at home should be private. So Rise & Show is built so nothing is sent to us, ever.
-
Recognition runs 100% on your iPhoneObjects are recognized on the device with Apple's Vision framework. Camera frames are never stored or uploaded, and even the morning's random pick is worked out on your iPhone.

Your data lives in your own iCloudAlarms, your object list and wake history stay on your iPhone. No photos or video are ever kept: for objects you set up with the camera, only numeric image fingerprints are saved, which can't be turned back into a picture. If you use iCloud, everything is backed up to your own private iCloud account, which the developer can't access.
